Every public input, with its reuse boundary.
This register lists only government or open data that ApplianceBench currently uses in public evidence, safety notices or calculations. It does not treat a stored file, private feed or commercial agreement as permission to republish data.
What we use and what the terms allow.
βYesβ means the cited terms permit the use shown here. Attribution, freshness and anti-endorsement duties still apply. Every model-level value keeps its source, market and applicable observation date.
| Dataset | Licence | Commercial use | Derivatives |
|---|---|---|---|
| ENERGY STAR certified product datasets βCertified model identity, market scope and declared energy-performance fields on exact-model pages and reports.Source: US Environmental Protection Agency. ApplianceBench normalises and exact-matches the data; it does not reproduce the ENERGY STAR mark or imply EPA endorsement. | EPA public-domain data licence β | Yes | Yes |
| US DOE Compliance Certification Database βManufacturer compliance filings used as a second exact-model chain for North American appliance evidence.Source: US Department of Energy. ApplianceBench normalises manufacturer filings and acknowledges DOE; third-party images and documents are not republished. | US DOE public-domain reuse notice β | Yes | Yes |
| European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL) βEU/EEA energy-label and eco-programme observations on exact-model pages, market views and reports.Source: European Commission EPREL. ApplianceBench provides a value-added comparison, keeps attribution and source dates, and does not sell or expose EPREL data as a raw dataset. | EPREL Public API terms and conditions β | Yes | Yes |
| France repairability-index consolidated files βOfficial model-level repairability observations joined only to exact product identities.Source: data.gouv.fr and the contributing producers. ApplianceBench normalises and exact-matches the files; the applicable source update date remains visible with each observation. | Licence Ouverte / Open Licence 2.0 β | Yes | Yes |
| Australia/NZ GEMS labelled-product data βAustralian and New Zealand registration, energy and water observations kept separate from other test programmes.Source: Commonwealth of Australia, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. ApplianceBench modifies the data by normalising and exact-model matching; no endorsement is implied. | Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia β | Yes | Yes |
| US CPSC recall notices and Recall API βOfficial recall facts published only when the shared exact-model and bounded serial-range gate passes.Credit: US Consumer Product Safety Commission. ApplianceBench adds an exact-match explanation and does not imply CPSC endorsement or republish unrelated photographs. | CPSC public-information reuse terms β | Yes | Yes |
| Ofgem energy price-cap unit rates βThe dated GB electricity unit rate used as the editable default in running-cost calculations.Source: Ofgem, Β© Crown copyright. ApplianceBench incorporates the published unit rate into its own calculation, excludes logos and third-party material, and shows the rate period and check date. | Open Government Licence 3.0 β | Yes | Yes |
Private commerce stays separate.
Atlas catalogue identity, retailer listings and approved Awin, Redbrain or Amazon links are private or contract-governed layers. They are not open datasets, do not count as independent evidence and are not described here as reusable public data.
ApplianceBench publishes source-attributed evidence views, not a redistributable copy of the combined source data. This page is a provenance and licence register, so it carries no Dataset or DataDownload structured data.
Normalisation, exact-model matching and calculations are ApplianceBench modifications. Source corrections, restrictions and deletion signals are adopted through the governed daily projection before the affected fact is shown again.
